Rental Information

We want to make it as easy as possible to get you equipped and out the door! After viewing our rental information page, feel free to call or email us to ask.
This truly is the hassle-free way to rent gear. And no one else offers the option to buy after you actually try the gear.
Below are some frequently asked rental information questions about renting gear from AlpineShare Inc. If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact us. You will most likely be speaking to one of us pictured to the right, and we would be honored to serve you!
Rental Reservations
If you need to rent camping equipment up to a year in advance, proceed with your rental through our shopping cart. If you rent online, your credit card will be charged immediately and you will receive an email order verification. Within the next 24 to 72 hours, you will receive an additional paid invoice from our internal processing system. Finally, before we actually ship your gear, you will receive a tracking information email from UPS. Your only job is to have fun and ship the stuff back to us when you get back (or drop it off at our retail store in SAHUARITA). Remember to book as far in advance as possible. Once your reservation is complete, your gear is guaranteed to be available to you.
Shipping Time
When renting from AlpineShare Inc, you will not be charged any shipping time fees. If you need your tent, backpack, etc. for a three-day trip, here is an example of a three-day trip from Friday to Sunday.
AlpineShare Inc will ship your gear to your destination on Thursday (the day before your departure)
We will also provide a prepaid shipping label for return shipping costs.
We can ship your gear to anywhere you want it shipped. For example, if you are traveling by plane to your destination. We often ship to a UPS store or your first night's hotel. Either way is fine. It's best to call your hotel or UPS store to make sure they accept your gear and to confirm if any special instructions are needed on the shipping label.
On Monday, after your trip, drop your gear off at UPS using the shipping label and box we provide you (if you are traveling, it's best to bring tape to seal the box for shipping).
What gear does AlpineShare Inc carry?
First and foremost, we carry what we call "Excellent Gear." A full range of top brands. Other brands may claim that, but we really do. Our rentals include tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, backpacks, water filters, stoves, cooking utensils, accessories, and more. You can actually choose the brands and styles you want based on the type of trip you are traveling.
Are there group discounts?
Every camping and backpacking package we offer includes an automatic package discount of about 10% just by ordering the package. Group discounts are based on many factors, including but not limited to group size (we serve some groups of over 1000 campers), location, time of year, special services, etc. Let us know how we can help your group and we will do everything we can to make sure you have the best trip ever.
Returning Clean and Dry Gear
At AlpineShare Inc, our motto includes a promise to "crazy clean" gear... but we don't expect you to do that. We do expect our gear to be returned clean and dry. Dry is the most important thing. Wet gear means mold, and mold means hours of time for The Geek to get it ready for the next trip. Cleaning for you means shaking the dirt out of the inside of your tent and other gear. It's important to know that we reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee if your gear is wet. How often do we do this? Not often. If you are in a situation where you have to return wet or soaking wet gear, calling will go a long way toward avoiding charges.
That being said, we understand the normal wear and tear of rental items. If an item is damaged, say you left your tent or sleeping bag too close to a fire and burned a hole in it, there is a fee to repair or replace it. Just treat it like your own gear and you won't have any problems.
